This Activision published title plays somewhat like another game based around this race called Baja: Edge of Control. However, it also plays similarly to other off-road racing sims such as Motorstorm, Spintires: MudRunner to name a few. However, does this game offer an off-road experience to remember, or do the wheel come off throughout? We find out in our review of Score International Baja 1000.
Score International: The Baja 1000 is a studio-produced Left Field Productions racing game that allows you to take part in the legendary off-road off-road off-road racing game. The creators have prepared about 90 vehicles, which can be driven by players.
Baja: Edge of Control is an off road racing video game developed by American studio 2XL Games and published by THQ for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game gets its name from the real life Baja 1000 off-road race in Baja California, Mexico, on which it is based. The game is set on over 95 different tracks, including 3 different Baja 250 courses, 2 Baja 500 courses, 1 Baja 1000 course, and has 9 open world environments. The game was released September 22, 2008 in North America and September 26, 2008 in Europe.
Let's be clear: Baja's never going to elbow Dirt 4 off your shelf, nor does this graphical refresh stand up against current games, but it does have some entertaining quirks. For a start, it takes the endurance element of the sport to heart. Career races are a reasonable length but tackle the 'full' SCORE Baja 1000 and the game will politely advise you that it'll take around three hours to complete the series of nine 20-ish minute stages. Yes, this game features a point-to-point rally that will swallow up an entire afternoon and you'll never see the same dust-blasted desert shrub twice. Just a lot of very similar ones. 59ce067264
